Pure Outlaw Attitude, Master Craftsmanship
You can never go wrong with black leather on a chopper, but that doesn't mean you have to settle for a basic, mass-produced cover. The Black Cross Hand-Tooled Solo Seat takes the timeless outlaw aesthetic and elevates it with traditional, master-level leathercraft. It features one of the most iconic motifs in motorcycle culture, carved deep into the hide for a subtle, menacing texture.
The Art of the Tooling
We start with heavy-weight American Vegetable Tanned Steerhide. The classic cross design and the surrounding background textures are carved, beveled, and hammered entirely by hand in our Richmond, VA shop. We then apply a rich, deep black dye. Unlike factory vinyl, this hand-dyed leather maintains a natural luster that highlights the depth of the tooling, giving the seat a sinister, custom look that demands attention.
Unbreakable Braided Edges
A true traditional chopper seat relies on lacing, not thread. We finish the perimeter of this seat with a Double-Loop Leather Braid (Mexican Braid). This thick, continuous lace physically locks the heavy leather cover to the pan, creating a bold, finished edge that won't fray, snap, or stretch out like standard stitching.
- High-Density Foam Core: Hand-shaped to provide critical support and isolate your spine from the punishment of a rigid frame.
- The Patina: Real veg-tan leather breathes and ages with you. Over miles of riding, the black dye will develop a unique sheen exactly where you sit, breaking in perfectly to your body.
Custom Orders & Fitment:
This classic cross tooling can be adapted to fit almost any solo seat pan. Want to add your club initials inside the cross? Want to change the braid to a contrasting color like red or white? Let us know.

ORDERING & SHIPPING
How long does it take to get my order?
Since every item is handmade in our Richmond, VA shop, we don't just pull boxes off a shelf. Most orders ship within 1-3 business days. Custom orders or elaborate tooling may take longer. You will receive a tracking number the moment your label is created.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide. We have sent bags to riders in Europe, Australia, Asia, and beyond. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
FITMENT & INSTALLATION
Will these bags fit my specific bike?
We make both model-specific and universal bags.
- If you see your bike listed in our menu (e.g., "Dyna Saddlebags"), those are designed to fit your specific fender struts and shocks.
- If you have a custom chopper or a bike we don't list, check out our Universal Collection or Contact Us with a photo of your bike.
Do I need to relocate my turn signals?
For most Dyna and Sportster models, our bags are designed to work without relocating turn signals, as long as you are running the stock setup. However, if you have a side-mount license plate or aftermarket indicators, please check the measurements on the product page.
WARRANTY & CARE
What is your warranty?
We offer a Lifetime Warranty on craftsmanship. If a stitch pops or hardware fails due to a defect, we will fix it. We build these to last a lifetime. (See our Warranty Page for full details).
How do I care for the leather?
We use premium vegetable-tanned leather. Like a good pair of boots, it needs to be conditioned occasionally. We recommend using a high-quality leather balm or oil once every few months, or after getting caught in heavy rain.
