Trusted by Master Builders: The Flypaper Skull Seat
When the crew at Flypaper Customs builds another all-aluminum masterpiece, they know exactly who to call for the upholstery. You don't put a catalog seat on a bike made of raw, handcrafted metal. For this specific custom bagger build, they needed a seat with a menacing, aggressive attitude to match the radical lines of the bike—so we delivered the Hand-Tooled Skull Seat.
3D Leathercraft: Not Your Average Skull
Skulls are a classic staple of custom motorcycle culture, but this isn't a cheap machine stamp or a laser etching. This is authentic, hammer-and-tool leathercraft.
- Hand-Carved Depth: The skull and surrounding organic textures were carved, beveled, and hammered entirely by hand into thick, heavy-weight American Vegetable Tanned Steerhide. The result is a raised, 3D aesthetic that pops off the seat.
- Antique Dye Finish: We hand-dyed the leather with a rich, antique finish that sinks deep into the cuts of the tooling. This gives the skull incredible shadow and depth, perfectly complementing a raw aluminum or dark custom bagger aesthetic.
- Unbreakable Riveted Edges: The perimeter of the seat is locked down using heavy-duty solid brass rivets, ensuring the cover stays tight over the custom pan and will never fray like standard thread.
Custom Bagger Orders:
This page showcases the exact skull seat built for Flypaper Customs, but we can adapt this design to your specific build. Whether you want this exact skull tooling, a different color dye, or colored lacing to match your paint job, we can make it happen.
Because bagger seat pans vary wildly based on stretched tanks and custom rear fenders, we often require you to send in your pan to guarantee a perfect, gap-free fit.

ORDERING & SHIPPING
How long does it take to get my order?
Since every item is handmade in our Richmond, VA shop, we don't just pull boxes off a shelf. Most orders ship within 1-3 business days. Custom orders or elaborate tooling may take longer. You will receive a tracking number the moment your label is created.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide. We have sent bags to riders in Europe, Australia, Asia, and beyond. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
FITMENT & INSTALLATION
Will these bags fit my specific bike?
We make both model-specific and universal bags.
- If you see your bike listed in our menu (e.g., "Dyna Saddlebags"), those are designed to fit your specific fender struts and shocks.
- If you have a custom chopper or a bike we don't list, check out our Universal Collection or Contact Us with a photo of your bike.
Do I need to relocate my turn signals?
For most Dyna and Sportster models, our bags are designed to work without relocating turn signals, as long as you are running the stock setup. However, if you have a side-mount license plate or aftermarket indicators, please check the measurements on the product page.
WARRANTY & CARE
What is your warranty?
We offer a Lifetime Warranty on craftsmanship. If a stitch pops or hardware fails due to a defect, we will fix it. We build these to last a lifetime. (See our Warranty Page for full details).
How do I care for the leather?
We use premium vegetable-tanned leather. Like a good pair of boots, it needs to be conditioned occasionally. We recommend using a high-quality leather balm or oil once every few months, or after getting caught in heavy rain.
