Show-Winning Elegance: The Flypaper Filigree Seat
When you build radical, bare-metal aluminum baggers like the crew at Flypaper Customs, every single detail has to be flawless. For this custom bagger build, they wanted a seat that brought a touch of high-class, traditional elegance to balance the aggressive metalwork. We delivered this masterpiece: a fully hand-tooled solo seat featuring their shop logo surrounded by intricate filigree.
Master-Level Tooling & Antique Finish
There is no machine press in the world that can replicate the depth and soul of real leathercraft.
- Hand-Carved Filigree: The traditional floral scrollwork (filigree) and the central Flypaper Customs logo were carved, beveled, and hammered entirely by hand into thick, premium American Vegetable Tanned Steerhide.
- Rich Antique Dye: To make the artwork truly pop, the leather was treated with a multi-layered antique finish. This darkens the deep cuts of the tooling while leaving the high points rich and golden, resulting in incredible 3D contrast.
Sleek, Low-Profile Stitched Edges
Unlike our traditional chopper seats that use thick leather lacing, this bagger seat was designed for a smooth, low-profile aesthetic. We finished the perimeter with heavy-duty, industrial machine stitching. This creates a clean, tight edge that flows perfectly into the stretched gas tank and custom side covers of a modern big-wheel bagger.
Built to Ride
A show bike is meant to be ridden. Beneath the incredible leather artwork is a hand-shaped, high-density foam core engineered to provide serious lower back support. The veg-tan leather breathes and molds to your body, ensuring the seat is just as comfortable on the highway as it is stunning on the show floor.
Your Custom Bagger Order:
This page showcases the exact filigree seat built for Flypaper Customs, but the design is completely customizable for your bike. We can tool your own shop logo, club colors, or personal artwork right into the center of the filigree.
Because bagger seat pans vary based on stretched tanks and custom fenders, we often require you to send in your pan to guarantee a perfect, gap-free fit.

ORDERING & SHIPPING
How long does it take to get my order?
Since every item is handmade in our Richmond, VA shop, we don't just pull boxes off a shelf. Most orders ship within 1-3 business days. Custom orders or elaborate tooling may take longer. You will receive a tracking number the moment your label is created.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide. We have sent bags to riders in Europe, Australia, Asia, and beyond. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
FITMENT & INSTALLATION
Will these bags fit my specific bike?
We make both model-specific and universal bags.
- If you see your bike listed in our menu (e.g., "Dyna Saddlebags"), those are designed to fit your specific fender struts and shocks.
- If you have a custom chopper or a bike we don't list, check out our Universal Collection or Contact Us with a photo of your bike.
Do I need to relocate my turn signals?
For most Dyna and Sportster models, our bags are designed to work without relocating turn signals, as long as you are running the stock setup. However, if you have a side-mount license plate or aftermarket indicators, please check the measurements on the product page.
WARRANTY & CARE
What is your warranty?
We offer a Lifetime Warranty on craftsmanship. If a stitch pops or hardware fails due to a defect, we will fix it. We build these to last a lifetime. (See our Warranty Page for full details).
How do I care for the leather?
We use premium vegetable-tanned leather. Like a good pair of boots, it needs to be conditioned occasionally. We recommend using a high-quality leather balm or oil once every few months, or after getting caught in heavy rain.
